A YOUNG man who was treated at a government hospital following a road accident has complained of medical negligence, said Malaysian Nanban.
X-ray visuals showed that there were still metal shards in S. Gunasegaran’s injured leg.
They also showed that he had two fractured toes which were not treated.
Gunasegaran, 20, of Kampong Pasir, Ra - sah, Seremban, suffered serious injuries after being invol ved in an accident on Feb 13 and was admitted into the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban for treatment.
He was travelling in the lorry driven by his uncle, which was involved in an accident near Sena wang.
His uncle died in the accident.
Gunasegaran suffered a deep gash on his left leg and an X-ray was taken. He was given treatment and allowed to return home the following day.
The next day, while at home, he was in pain and was admitted to a private hospital where another X-ray was taken.
The film showed that there were metal shards in his injured leg and his two toes had been fractured.
