KUALA LUMPUR: A disabled senior citizen said his car was wheel-clamped at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital yesterday while he was having a check-up.
P. Palaniappan, 60, who is retired, said he had found all the parking lots taken when he arrived, including the bays for disabled people.
“I saw that the hospital staff had used about half the parking lots for disabled people,” he said.He showed the parking operators the “disabled person” sticker on his car, but was told that he had to pay RM50 to have the clamp removed.
Despite pleading with them, they insisted that he paid the penalty, Palaniappan said.
