Lorries parking along Jalan Pandan 4/1 and 4/6 in Pandan Perdana, Cheras, are taking up most of the bays leaving others to double park, thus causing congestion.
Pandan Perdana Morning Market Traders’ Association chairman Wong Kah Yuen, 54, said every morning, there were 11 to 12 lorries parked along Jalan Pandan 4/1.
“They take up almost all the parking spaces available from 9am until noon. Our customers end up parking all over the place, causing congestion, or they shop late when we are about to pack up,” said Wong.
On Sundays, the problem is worsens, as the lorries are parked for the whole day.
Wong said some old vehicles had also been left in the parking spaces with no one claiming or towing them away.
“One van has been left in a parking space for more than three months. There are also more than 10 abandoned motorcycles in the parking spaces.
