Work on upgrading the Kesedar Land Development Scheme (RKT) road from Paloh Dua to Lebir, at a cost of RM27 million, is expected to be fully completed by June next year.
Paloh State Assemblyman Datuk Nozula Mat Diah said, the contractor was working round the clock to complete the road on time after numerous complaints from the public due to inconveniences caused by the delay in completion.
"We have received many complaints from residents on the upgrading of the road which has been delayed for a long time," he told Bernama when met at RKT Kesedar Paloh Wednesday.
He admitted that work on the project was delayed for some time now because the appointed contractor had failed to complete the job according to the schedule, forcing the project to be re-tendered.-Bernama
