KUALA LUMPUR: Cars will be stopped from entering or parking at the Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple in Batu Caves from today to ensure that Thaipusam celebrations go smoothly.
Temple committee chairman Datuk R. Nadarajah said efforts have also been taken to clean the riverside, supply clean water, upgrade roads, install more lighting and other facilities for the comfort of devotees.
First aid, ambulance services and information centres have been set up to assist the public. Nadarajah advised devotees not to wear jewellery or carry large amounts of cash.

Just before Thaipusam, he has had up to 200 clients a day.
