KUALA LUMPUR: Almost all petrol stations have rolled out RON95 petrol at their pumps way before next Tuesday's deadline.
Oil companies have been gradually phasing out the low octane RON92 in the last two weeks to adhere to government's decision to have cleaner emission.
Esso Malaysia Bhd retail business director Faridah Ali said all Esso and Mobil stations would have rolled out the RON95 fuel by tomorrow.
"Our version of RON95 called Synergy 5000, at RM1.75 per litre, will be available at all 540 Esso and Mobil service stations nationwide."
Petronas Dagangan Bhd spokesman Rahayu Sri Kirana Ahmat Adam said RON95 is now available at more than 280 Petronas stations.
"More stations will be added to this number in stages and by Tuesday, Petronas Primax 95 (RON95) will be available at all 920 Petronas stations," she said yesterday.
As for Shell Malaysia, their version of RON95 called Shell Unleaded 92 was made available at more than 90 per cent of their 900-plus stations from yesterday.
