KUALA LUMPUR: Thieves broke into a house in Damansara Heights yesterday but left everything intact as they only wanted the keys to two Mercedes Benz and a Honda Civic.
The thieves did not bother to steal two other vehicles -- a Proton Saga and a Perodua Myvi -- as they drove off with the three cars.
The owner, a businessman in his 60s, woke up at 9am to find his cars stolen.
He said the thieves had probably broken into the house by the back door but they did not ransack the house.
"I am thankful that my family was not harmed but it was a bit puzzling that the thieves took the trouble to break into the house only to look for the keys to the three cars, which had a combined value of RM700,000," the businessman said, declining to be identified.
