KUALA LUMPUR: Motorcyclists nationwide will soon be invited to attend free workshops on road safety and basic first aid, organised by the Road Safety Department and its partners.
Department director-general Datuk Suret Singh said the Riders Survival Training would reinforce safe riding practices while the Basic First Aid Training programme would teach participants how to deal with different types of road injuries.
A pilot project was carried out several months back in collaboration with Socso.
“Two driving institutes have already agreed to allow us to use their premises to conduct the training. We will continue to engage sponsors so that the workshops will be offered free to the public,” he said after giving out certificates of appreciation to several non-governmental agencies and private companies which participated in the Ops Bersepadu 22 initiative.
