Potholes and badly-patched roads seem to be a perennial problem in the Klang Valley.
Following up on StarMetro’s story on Monday (Things that go bump during ride, p3, Feb 21) that highlighted the problem in Kuala Lumpur, we now switch our focus to Petaling Jaya.
The situation is no different as the city is also filled with plenty of potholes and badly-patched roads.
Among the badly pothole-and patch-riddled road is Persiaran Surian, which stretches from Mutiara Damansara to Kota Damansara.
According to Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Engineering Department director Cheremi Tarman, the council recently appointed two contractors to carry out road repairs and pothole works for the PJ area.
“Work will commence in two weeks. The council has allocated RM1mil for the project, and there are also plans for a road resurfacing programme.
