KUALA LUMPUR: Passers-by mistook movie magic for the real thing during the shooting of the action movie Against War starring Hong Kong superstar Nicholas Tse and Taiwanese heart-throb Jay Chou, causing quite a stir in the heart of the city.

Film crew of the highly-anticipated movie were shooting a scene involving an overturned car at the Dataran Merdeka roundabout which fooled some people driving by the area into thinking it was a real accident.

Khalid Yusof, 23, said he thought the whole thing was real but soon realised the truth when he saw the film cameras.

The entire area was filled with curious bystanders and drivers who slowed down for a glimpse of the movie stars, further adding to the traffic congestion in the evening rush hour.

Traffic police were on hand to control traffic flow and help ease the congestion.

Other locations to be used in KL include Jalan Raja Laut, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Kampung Pandan.
