Put a stop to traffic jams around schools

NO thanks to schools, the traffic congestion has become worse. If you happen to pass by any school around 5pm, you will most likely get stuck in a traffic jam.

School bus drivers like to park their buses along both sides of the road. A two-lane road will usually become one narrow lane and will be shared by traffic from both directions.

Bus drivers will leave their buses parked there and pass the time at a shop nearby.

The worse part is, some drivers would continue to park their buses even after there is only a narrow lane for traffic.

Traffic police are dispatched to control the serious congestion every day. I think they often forget to bring their “summons book”. They are so busy chit-chatting with colleagues that they don’t book errant drivers.

Action must be taken to punish those who park their vehicles haphazardly. They have caused much inconvenience to the public and residents. Relevant authorities should act quickly to look into this before it worsens.
