Even before the Proton Exora MPV was launched last week, the car parts were stolen.
A 38-year-old quality controller was charged at the magistrate’s court today with stealing gear knobs of the Exora last month (No specific date was given in the charge sheet) from his employer IQM Sdn Bhd at Lot 7, Jalan Bursa 23/4, Section 22 here.
Yusri Abdul Rasit, from Port Klang, pleaded guilty to stealing two Exora auto and four Exora manual gear knobs, as well as three Persona manual and five Gen2 manual gear knobs all worth RM274.
In another case at the same court, Mohd Herman Ibrahim, 29, pleaded guilty to possessing the stolen items.
He committed the offence at his apartment at No.22-3-18, Jalan Anggerik Nervilia 31/166 in Kota Kemuning, Section 31, here between 3pm and 8.30pm on April 1.
Magistrate Norkamilah Aziz granted each RM1,600 bail with one surety and fixed May 21 for sentencing.
