A cul-de-sac at the end of Laluan Bercham S11 would also be built to ensure a smoother and safer traffic flow, Lai said.
The slip road near the Kiara Condominium complements the other slip road that is being constructed in Taman Ipoh Bistari II.
State Public Works Department director Datuk Dr Safry Kamal Ahmad was reported to have said recently that the Taman Ipoh Bistari II slip road would enable north-bound vehicles travelling on the expressway to enter Bercham.
With the Taman Ipoh Bistari II slip road, motorists can avoid travelling on Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah (U).
Bercham Rukun Tetangga chairman Tan Swee Kong, who was present during the site visit, said the project would mean that motorists travelling along Jalan Bercham could heave a sigh of relief.
“The traffic congestion on Jalan Bercham has been a perennial problem.
