KUALA LUMPUR: The sports editor of a Malay daily had his car hijacked by four parang-wielding men nearby the Rawang toll plaza.
The Honda Civic belonging to Meor Herman Meor Shakri of Utusan Malaysia was knocked in the rear by a Mitsubishi car driven by the hijackers in the 1am incident yesterday.
The men came out from the car and confronted him.
Meor Herman, 43, said they held him at knife-point before two of the suspects escaped with his car while their accomplices followed them in the other car.
“The men appeared as though they were drunk,” he said.
He added that he was on his way home in Bandar Country Homes and managed to get a lift from a passing motorcylist to seek help from personnel manning the toll plaza.
