End in sight to Klang traffic woes

MOTORISTS heading towards South Klang from Shah Alam can now enjoy a smoother ride.

A section of the controversy-ridden RM32.3mil flyover has been opened to motorists since yesterday.

Klang residents have been fuming mad over the slow pace of the construction of the flyover which was aimed at connecting the existing flyover above Bulatan Seratus at Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim to the Kota Bridge.

Work on the construction of the flyover began in late 2007 and was initially scheduled to be ready by the end of 2009.

A reader called StarMetro to express his joy at discovering that a section of the flyover had been finally opened.

He said it was good news for the people of Klang who had been affected by the constant traffic congestion caused by the construction work.
