Desa Aman Puri residents want potholes repaired
According to a resident Cham Sin Yam, who lives in Seri Putra Apartments, plenty of potholes the size of footballs could be found along the stretch of the roads.
“When we accidentally drive into these potholes, our vehicles are damaged. This problem has been around for two years.
“Some road-work contractors would dig up the road for work and do a shoddy job covering it.
“After a month or two, due to heavy vehicles plying the road, potholes will appear.
“The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) resurfaced the road six months ago but then potholes appeared in four other new locations,’’ he said.
Cham also said the traffic condition, especially at the junction and intersections in Persiaran KIP 2, has become worse.
“There are no traffic lights. Everyone has to dash just to cross to the other side.
“Even the road leading to my apartment is narrow. It becomes even narrower when cars are parked at both sides leaving only a gap for a one-way traffic.”
“We hope MPS will help us solve these problems especially the potholes,’’ he said.
When contacted, an MPS spokesman said they had patched-up potholes in Wangsa Permai and Kepong Industrial Park but have yet to do so in the other nearby areas.
